Maintain and add features to current online subscription store (implemented with HTML::Mason and MySQL) for over 50 enthusiast magazines as well as maintain and implement individual Content Management Systems for those magazines (implemented with Krang CMS). Also wrote and maintained scripts to communicate with various vendors for tasks such as postal address lookups, creating and uploading XML files for 3rd party search engines, and parsing XML files to populate our database with 3rd party data; performed some system administration maintenance on in-house servers.
April 2003 – May 2005: Independent Contractor (recent clients)
Progeny Another in production project dealing with print fulfillment of credit reports. Had to work in a very limiting situation that involved automating database fixes. Worked with Perl scripts (not an application) and Oracle.
NASBA Brought into ongoing Website project involving tracking compliance for accountant's continuing education. Responsibilities include building multi-authorized User Interfaces via custom mod_perl framework, data import conversions, and coding rules into custom rules engine.
Nashville Film FestivalDeveloped database driven web site (with MySQL and PHP) to showcase films and also developed a content management system (with MySQL and mod_perl) that allowed employees to maintain public web site with very little HTML knowledge.

Co-wrote AAA (authentication, authorization, auditing) framework
for existing applications developed with SOAP and Web Services.
Co-developed a generic API for this system and designed a specific
Java binding for that API. Regular day responsibilities included
maintaining and adding features to existing Apache/mod_perl web applications for clients, as well as
researching and investigating new technologies.

Database

Web Development
